About Bark to Basics Dog Training
Welcome to Bark to Basics Dog Training!
We offer a variety of training in and around Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, from group classes to one to one sessions for both adult dogs and puppies. We use force free, positive reinforcement methods, rooted in science and will love your dogs as if they were our own.
Tailored Training Programmes
Every dog is unique, which is why we offer individually tailored training programmes to meet the specific needs of each dog and their owner. Our trainer will work closely with you to develop a training plan that is effective and enjoyable for both you and your dog.
Even in group classes all puppies and dogs are worked with closely to ensure that training is as individual as possible.
Certified and Experienced Trainer
Our trainer, Steph, holds qualifications in dog training and behaviour with plenty of experience working with dogs of all breeds and ages. She is also accredited by the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) as well as a certified Easy Peasy Puppy instructor. Steph is extremely passionate about helping dogs reach their full potential and works tirelessly to ensure that every dog receives the best possible care and attention. Bark to Basics Dog Training is fully insured and DBS checked.

Group training classes
At Bark to Basics Dog Training we provide a range of life skills classes. Life skills classes focus on key behaviours from whatever ability your dog is currently at, with the aim to improve on them. The curriculum in these classes is vast, including skills such as lead walking, recall, impulse control, emergency stops and much more.
121 training sessions

121 sessions begin with a consultation, where Steph will learn as much as possible about your dog and the support needed in order to collate a tailored training plan to implement with you. 121 training covers anything from behaviour modification plans to help with things such as reactivity and separation anxiety as well as training skills such as lead walking and recall.
Agility

On Sunday mornings we hold an agility class, this class is non competitive with the aim for our dogs and owners to have fun, build bonds and connections whilst also working on recall and impulse control - it's a great way to get your steps in too!
