Life skills & Puppy classes
At Bark to Basics Dog Training we provide a range of life skills classes, perfect for puppies and older dogs. We meet your dog wherever they're at! These are based in Aylesbury & Whitchurch.
Life skills is pretty much what it says on the tin. In our group classes we focus on key skills you and your dog need to build a great life together. We teach connection, engagement, lead walking, recall, impulse control, the art of settling and SO much more. The curriculum is vast! We also make sure that fun and silliness is included - life is serious enough, why not make light where possible?!
Scent work
We offer scent work for dogs, whether that is via group classes or 121 packages.
Scent work is a fun, confidence building activity, designed to tap into your dogs natural ability - to sniff!
Scent work is excellent for dogs of any age - puppies too! It builds confidence, provides the BEST natural enrichment and promotes problem solving.
You and your dog become a team, connecting and learning together. Better yet? The dogs absolutely love it and you get to learn new skills to flex.
121 sessions
121 sessions are available too, this is where we come out to you or meet you to work solely with you and your dog.
We offer 121 sessions in life skills, scent work, puppy visits as well as behavioural support.
For behavioural support, such as reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding etc, we start by coming to carry out a consultation to learn all about your dog and the support needed. We then use this information to collate a tailored training plan for you and your dog.
